I just got word from the jewelers that my engagement ring has arrived. I can't go get it, because Mike is in NYC, and I need him to check the stone, because he's much better at finding the three spots under the microscope than I am. That, and I would just feel weird picking it up without him. So, I have to wait another day. But this all just became so damn real, much realer than when I, ahem, bought my dress.
