One followup to the Girl Detective commentary below: were I so inclined, I think one could make an interesting argument, taking Kelly Link’s Girl Detective and Joe Meno’s Boy Detective as divergent takes on children’s mystery literature. Hell, you could make a micro-scale syllabus out of it.

Fine music, northwestern division: the launch of the Hardly Art label. Based on the first signing, if this is hardly art, I quake at what full-on art is considered. And the release of the Lightning Dust album, music made by terrific folks from Vancouver.

    Was it Christopher Durang who wrote the play about the Hardy Boys that basically made every scene shift with the boys deciding it was time to put on different crew neck sweaters?
