Odd thought: someone this year really needs to write an essay about the typographical appeal of Vampire Weekend. They have a new website up now, but the previous, rectangular-graphics-heavy one, really impressed me in its — this is an awful phrase, but it’s the best I can come up with right now — even holistic solidity. And someone in or close to the band (multi-instrumentalist Rostam Batmanglij is one of three credited designers for their debut) knows their tracking.

…unlike other guys.

Ba-dum-bum.
