About

I’ve been blogging in some form or another since 2000: initially at the TNI Books website, and later elsewhere. From 1996 until, oh, 2002 or so I edited a zine called Eventide; it focused mainly on music but gradually expanded its focus to cover everything from independent films to the occasional political topic. Around the same time, I was also helping to run a record label called Your Best Guess.

These days, I write. Fiction? Yep. Nonfiction? Indeed. As of this writing, highlights would include my short story “Spencer Hangs Over Newark” appearing in issue 23 of THE2NDHAND, presenting a piece about basement shows at the 2007 EMP Pop Conference, and writing the “Gimme Fiction” column for Paper Thin Walls.

I also assist in the operation of the East River Music Project, an annual summer concert series held on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
